Solutions Psychiatry · San Francisco

San Francisco psychiatry office

Our San Francisco office is at 220 Montgomery Street, Suite 600, in the Financial District, a short walk from the Montgomery Street BART and Muni station. It is the practice's California home: care is delivered by secure video across the state, and this office anchors the practice for patients in the city and the wider Bay Area.

One practice, two ways in: therapy and medication care at psych.us is the full practice, and medication management only at PsychMed Care is the dedicated prescribing door. Locations, insurance, fees and booking for both live on this site.

The office

220 Montgomery St #600, San Francisco, CA 94104

Solutions Psychiatry works telehealth-first, and San Francisco is no exception. Your appointments take place by secure video, at the times published on this site, with the same clinician at every visit. The Montgomery Street office is the practice's local base in California rather than a walk-in clinic, so there are no drop-in hours and no waiting room to sit in.

Every visit is scheduled ahead through IntakeQ, whether it is a first intake or a routine follow-up. When federal or DEA rules require an in-person visit, for example the annual visit tied to a controlled-substance prescription, it is arranged in the state where you are, and we plan it with you well in advance. For everything else (records, billing questions, scheduling changes) the office phone, (800) 303-3221, reaches the whole practice.

Patients

Who this office serves

Patients come to the San Francisco office from the Financial District itself, from SoMa high-rises and Nob Hill apartments, and from across the city. Just as many are elsewhere in California entirely: a patient in Sacramento or San Diego gets the same intake, the same follow-up rhythm, and the same prescriber as a patient three blocks from Montgomery Street.

California is one of the five states where this practice accepts Medicare, which makes the San Francisco office a natural home for older adults who want a psychiatrist they can reach by video without giving up a real local practice behind the screen.

Coverage

Insurance in California

The practice is in network with Aetna, Cigna and Evernorth, UnitedHealthcare and Optum, the Blue Cross Blue Shield family, Oscar, Oxford, Carelon and Providence, and it accepts Medicare in California. Whatever your plan, we verify your coverage and confirm your exact copay before your first visit. Most in-network patients pay between $0 and $40 per visit.

Book the intake

Choose a door (the full practice, or medication management only) and book through IntakeQ. The intake forms take about ten minutes and include space for your insurance card.

Hear your exact cost

We verify your plan and confirm your copay before the visit. San Francisco patients hear the number up front, the same as everyone in this practice.

Meet your clinician

Your first visit is a 60-minute video appointment with Karel Winner, DNP, PMHNP-BC. Follow-ups run 30 minutes, on a rhythm the two of you set together.

Questions

Asked about this office.

Do appointments happen at the Montgomery Street office?

Appointments happen by secure video. The Montgomery Street office is the practice's San Francisco home base, not a walk-in clinic, so every visit is scheduled in advance through IntakeQ and held by video. When federal or DEA rules require an in-person visit, it is arranged in the state where you are, and we plan it with you ahead of time.

Does this practice accept Medicare in California?

Yes. California is one of the five states where Solutions Psychiatry accepts Medicare, alongside Arizona, Colorado, Texas and Utah. We check your eligibility and confirm any cost before your first visit.

I live in California but not in San Francisco. Can I still be a patient?

Yes. Care is delivered by telehealth across California, so your city does not change your care. You get the same 60-minute intake, the same 30-minute follow-ups, and the same clinician as a patient in San Francisco.

What will my first visit cost?

The 60-minute intake is $350 at the self-pay rate. With insurance, most patients pay a copay between $0 and $40 instead, and we confirm your exact number before the visit. Follow-ups are $250 self-pay, or the same copay arrangement.

Book with the San Francisco office.

New patient intakes run 60 minutes. Follow-ups run 30. Booking happens on IntakeQ, and every plan is verified before the first visit.
